Key aspects of 2nd Buildings India 2018 Expo are Connected homes, Energy management, Green buildings, Housing for all, Real estate, smart appliances, smart lighting, water and waste management. As the cities expand, it is imperative to invest in smart buildings and housing to enable smart cities of the future. Smart buildings are intelligent structures that significantly save time, energy and operating cost, with the help of smart technology and materials. It is estimated that smart buildings will save up to 30 percent of water consumption, 40 percent of energy consumption, and reduce the overall building maintenance costs by 10 to 30 percent.

The European BIM Summit is an annual international conference on Building Information Modeling (BIM) held in Barcelona , organized by the Col·legi d’Aparelladors, arquitectes tècnics i enginyers d’edificació de Barcelona (CAATEEB), BIM Academy and BuildingSMART Spanish Chapter , with the common objective of spreading good practices in the use of BIM, as well as the sharing of BIM methodologies and international alignment. The great success achieved in its first three editions confirms it as the benchmark event on Building Information Modeling (BIM) in Europe. The EBS18 Summit begins with an overview of BIM throughout Europe as it is essential information for professionals in the 27 + 1 countries of the EU. Knowing the deadlines by which the BIM will be made mandatory in each of the States and knowing how the approval of the new Contracts Law in each country will be fundamental.
